Amanda J. Muhaw joined the firm of Atkinson & DeBartolo, P.C. in 2013. She has devoted the entirety of her practice to family law issues, which include the dissolution of marriage, child custody, child support, spousal support, domestic violence, and parenting time arrangements.
Ms. Muhaw is a third generation Monmouth County resident and was raised in Howell, New Jersey. She graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina, double majoring in Political Science and English. Ms. Muhaw received her Juris Doctor Degree from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Immediately following law school, Ms. Muhaw served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable James J. McGann, J.S.C., in the Special Civil Division of Monmouth County. As a result of Judge McGann’s re-assignment halfway through Ms. Muhaw’s clerkship, she concluded her clerkship working in the Post-Judgment Matrimonial Docket as well as the Juvenile Docket. During her clerkship, she had the honor of assisting the Honorable Lisa P. Thornton, P.J.F.P. and the Honorable Kathleen A.
Sheedy, J.S.C. on various matrimonial matters in addition to the work she performed for Judge McGann.
Ms. Muhaw is admitted to practice law in New Jersey. She is a member of both the Monmouth County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
